The Evolution of PR

Over the past few years, PR has undergone dramatic changes to adapt to a new media landscape. Since starting at my agency, I’ve had the chance to work across consumer, technology and healthcare campaigns, providing me insights into the behaviour of  different audiences and the best ways to get their attention.

In the age of social media, people are using technology to do their own PR by promoting their associations with brands or charities online and uploading their photos on facebook. The continuing development of new technologies presents opportunities and challenges for brands, making it a fascinating time to be working in the industry.

Social media has provided people with the opportunity to interact directly with brands, democratising the industry and, in many cases, leading to more creative and exciting campaigns.
